RAKKOON ("us", "we", or "our") operates the http://www.rakkoon.com website and the RAKKOON mobile application (collectively, the "Service").

This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information when you use our Service. It applies to all information gathered by the Service from users (“you,” “your,” ”parent(s),” “legal guardian(s),” “(step-)child,” “(step-)children,” etc.). This policy does not apply to any third party services linked to the Service, nor to Service-related offline activities.

We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy without your prior consent.

We use your Personal Information for marketing, providing and improving the Service. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. Unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy, terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms of Service.

Information Collection And Use

Your use of the Service is entirely voluntary. By registering for, installing, or using the Service, you agree to disclose certain personal information to us and you authorize us to use your personal information pursuant to the provisions of this privacy policy. Except as otherwise contemplated in this Privacy Policy, we will not knowingly disclose any of your personal information without your permission unless authorized by law to do so.

We must obtain personal information about you to provide you the Service. To register for the Service, you must provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to, your email address, name, telephone numbers, postal address, other information ("Personal Information"). If you become a paying subscriber to the Service at any time, we will also ask for your credit card information.

We may request additional personal information from you for specific purposes from time to time, including:

  • Customer Support Information – When you contact us for customer support, we ask for personal information and other information necessary to answer your question or resolve the reported problem
  • Surveys and Questionnaires – from time to time, we may ask users or visitors to to complete surveys or questionnaires. These surveys/questionnaires may ask individual and family demographic questions, computer and mobile device usage questions, and other information relevant to providing and improving the Service.
  • Promotions or Contests – To enter a contest or promotion sponsored by us and/or our partners, we will collect your contact information for administration of that promotion or contest and communication with entrants.
  • Social Media and Other Public Online Forums – If you use any social network, website, blog, chat room, or other online medium, you should be aware that any information you submit there may be read, collected or used by other parties and may be provided to us. We are not responsible for the personal information you choose to submit to such parties.
  • Other Information – When you use the Service, we may collect any information that you enter or give us in any other way to administer your account and deliver the Service.

In addition, the Service may require certain personal information about child users under your account, including, their date of birth or age, email address, and social media login credentials, as applicable. The Service automatically collects and analyzes, with your express prior consent and direct action, information about your child’s usage of social media apps via mobile devices on which you have installed the Service. This Personal Information includes:

  • User Profile Information - Each child user you create under your account requires the following information: nickname, first name, last name and date of birth. We may use this information to help the Service and you to identify users under your account and to help us verify that the child user is a minor. We may also request the following optional information about your child: mobile phone number and email address. This information may be used to allow you to send text and email messages to your child via the Service or as part of social media login credentials.
  • Mobile Device Software - For each child user created under your account, you may optionally install our mobile device software on their mobile device(s) that will collect information about that device’s Internet and social media network activity. While installation is optional, the Service may not function properly without this Mobile Device Software
  • Social Media Login Credentials - We may also request your child’s social media login credentials. This information is used to collect and analyze social media app activity on your child’s mobile device and information about your child’s friends, followers, and other contacts.
  • Your Child’s Mobile Device Activity- Once you install the Service on your child’s mobile device, the Service records mobile activities from the device, including:
    • Social media login credentials associated with social media accounts as described above; and
    • Social media activity, content, and contacts for all supported social media apps your child uses, including app usage, photographs, video, and text sent or received via supported social media apps on the mobile device.

Providing information beyond what is required to create an account and create user profiles is entirely optional, but not providing such information may impair or disable the Service. By creating an account with the Service, you grant us permission to also collect personally identifiable information from other internet sources and database services. No information of this type will be collected unless you create an account and install the Service on mobile device(s) used by your child.

We use your child’s Personal Information to notify you when the Service identifies content they see or send on their associated mobile device and to administer your account. We will never contact your child without your knowledge. We will never sell, rent, or otherwise provide Personal Information to any third parties for their marketing purposes.

The Service is marketed exclusively to adults, and only an adult is permitted to create an account. We do not target or sell any products or services to children. Children under 13 years of age may not submit personally identifiable information without the prior consent and direct action of a parent. We do not provide personally identifiable information about children under 13 years of age to any third party for any purpose whatsoever.

We collect this information for the purpose of providing the Service, identifying and communicating with you, responding to your requests/inquiries, servicing your account, and monitoring & analyzing usage of the Service to provide customer service and to maintain or improve the Service.

Log Data

We may also collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Service or when you access the Service by or through a mobile device ("Log Data"). This Log Data may include information such as your computer's Internet Protocol ("IP") address, browser type, browser version, the portions of the Service you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on particular pages or features, and other information.

When you access the Service by or through a mobile device, this Log Data may include information such as the type of mobile device you use, your mobile device Unique Device ID (“UDID”), the IP address of your mobile device, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browser you use, and other information.

When you interact via social media with the Service, such as when you like a tweet or post or comment on our Facebook page, we may receive information from that social network such as your profile information, profile picture, gender, username or other ID associated with your social media account, age range, language, country, friends list, and any other information you permit the social network to share with third parties. The data we receive is dependent upon your privacy settings with each respective social network and the device from which you access that social network. To modify what of your information social networks can share with third parties, we encourage you to closely review each social network’s privacy policy and privacy settings, and adjust your privacy settings on each social network prior connecting that network to the Service in any way.

In addition, we may use third party services such as Google Analytics and Autopilot that collect, monitor, and analyze this type of information to improve and market our Service. These third party service providers have their own privacy policies addressing how they use such information.

Cookies

Cookies are files with a small amount of data, which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a web site and transferred to your device. We use cookies to collect information in order to fulfill and improve our services to you.

You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. The Help feature on most browsers provide information on how to accept cookies, disable cookies, or to notify you when receiving a new cookie.

If you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some features of our Service, and we recommend that you accept any cookies from the Service or related third party services to help ensure the Service operates as designed.

Service Providers

We may employ third party companies and individuals to provide support for internal operations of our Service. Currently, the Service uses these service providers: Google Analytics, Google Forms, Google Sheets, Zapier, and AutoPilot.

We use a tool called “Google Analytics” to collect information about use of this site. Google Analytics collects information such as how often users visit this site, what pages they visit when they do so, and what other sites they used prior to coming to this site. We use the information we get from Google Analytics to improve the Service. Google Analytics collects only the IP address assigned to you on the date you visit our website or the Service, rather than your name or other identifying information. We do not combine the information collected through the use of Google Analytics with personally identifiable information. Although Google Analytics plants a permanent cookie on your web browser to identify you as a unique user the next time you visit us, the cookie cannot be used by anyone but Google. Google’s ability to use and share information collected by Google Analytics about your visits to our website and the Service is restricted by the Google Analytics terms of use and the Google privacy policy. You can prevent Google Analytics from recognizing you by disabling cookies on your browser.

We use software called “Google Forms” and “Google Sheets” to collect and store information, which may include Personal Information, about our website visitors and users. This information is used for marketing and account administration purposes and is not available to Google to use for any other purpose. Google’s collection and storage of information in Google Forms and Google Sheets is restricted by the Google privacy policy.

We use software called “Zapier” for automated transmission of information, which may include Personal Information, between other Service Providers and the Service. Zapier does not collect information about you on its own and is only used to for support of internal operations Zapier’s ability to transmit and store information for the Service is restricted by the Zapier privacy policy.

We use software called “Autopilot” to collect information about website visitors and Service users for marketing and communications purposes. While Autopilot does not directly collect any Personal Information from you, they may collect certain non-personally-identifiable information about you in order to provide us with information about how our website and the Service are accessed and used. For example, Autopilot may provide us with the IP address, browser type, domain name, referring URL, page views and information relating to the device through which you access our website or the Service. In addition, Autopilot, collects additional information from you such as name, e-mail address and other contact information on our behalf. They may also receive this information from us, which may include Personal Information, and store it on our behalf. Autopilot’s ability to use and share information it collects about your visits to our website and the Service is restricted by the Autopilot privacy policy.

These third parties have access to your Personal Information only to perform specific tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use your Personal Information, if any is collected, for any other purpose.

Communications

We may use your Personal Information to contact you with newsletters, marketing or promotional materials, and other information that may be of interest to you or necessary to administer your account. We may use the information we collect to notify you from time to time about functionality changes to the Service and special offers, including promotion of the Service or third party products we believe you will find of value. Except for communications regarding material company announcements, policy changes, or your account, if you prefer not receive this information you may opt out of receiving any or all communications from us by following the opt-out instructions described in the Opt-out section of this policy.

Usage

We may use your information on an aggregated basis purposes such as operation and improvement of the Service, including accurately targeting marketing and promotions to users. We statistically analyze Service usage, including the behavior of our users, to improve the content, layout, and functionality of the Service, as well as to enhance our marketing and promotional efforts. We may use your information to process payments, confirm renewal charges or payments to your account, and to administer your account, as applicable to your account. We may share aggregate information about our users with third parties, such as our partners, for marketing and promotional purposes. However, we do not knowingly disclose any Personally Identifiable Information about you, your children, or their social media accounts to any third party without your consent or as otherwise allowed under this policy or applicable law.

Children's Privacy

Only adults have permission to create an account with the Service (see our Terms of Service for details). Our Service does not address or market to anyone under the age of 18 ("Children"), but it does collect personal information about children, including children under the age of 13, necessary to deliver the Service to the parent of those children.

The Service is designed for use by children only after direct consent and action by the parent who created the account. To collect such information from a child, a parent must expressly create a user profile for that child, including input of their first name, last name, and birthdate, and install or direct the installation of the Service software on mobile device(s) owned by the parent or child and used by that child. Such information will only be used and disclosed pursuant to the terms of this privacy policy.

If you believe that we might have inadvertently collected information from a child under the age of 13 without parental consent, please email privacy@rakkoon.com.

If you are a parent or legal guardian and you learn that your child has provided Personal Information to the Service, please email privacy@rakkoon.com.

If we become aware that we collected Personal Information from a children under age 13 without verification of parental consent, we will remove that Personal Information from the Service.

Opt-out

You may decline to submit any personal information requested by the Service, in which case we may not be able to provide you the Service (e.g., your child’s date of birth for age verification; your child’s social media login information for monitoring of content). We will retain your information for as long as your account is active, as needed to provide you the Service, or as required by applicable law.

If you wish to opt-out of submission or collection of personal information, you may i) cancel your account by sending email to privacy@rakkoon.com or ii) remove the Service from all devices as indicated in our support article. Should you wish to prevent further use of your personal information after cancellation or removal of the Service, send email to privacy@rakkoon.com.

You may opt out of receiving any or all non-account related communications from us by following the unsubscribe link or instructions provided in any communication we send. We comply with the Federal CAN-SPAM act by making these unsubscribe links one-click opt out.

Compliance With Laws

We will disclose your Personal Information where required to do so by law or subpoena or if we believe that such action is necessary to comply with the law and the reasonable requests of law enforcement or to protect the security or integrity of our Service.

Links To Other Sites

Our Service may contain links to other sites that are not operated by us. If you click on a third party link, you will be directed to that third party's site. We strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of every site you visit.

We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third party sites or services.

Security

The security of your Personal Information is important to us, and we strive to implement and maintain reasonable, commercially-acceptable security procedures and practices appropriate to the nature of the information we store in order to protect it from unauthorized access, destruction, use, modification, or disclosure. However, please be aware that no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we are unable to guarantee the absolute security of the Personal Information we collect from you.

Business Transaction

If RAKKOON is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your Personal Information may be transferred as a business asset. In such cases, we will provide notice before your Personal Information is transferred and/or becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy.

Changes To This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy is effective as of the date posted at the top and will remain in effect except with respect to any changes in its provisions in the future, which will be in effect immediately after being posted on this page.

We reserve the right to update or change our Privacy Policy at any time and you should check this Privacy Policy frequently. Your continued use of the Service after we post any modifications to the Privacy Policy on this page will constitute your acknowledgment of the modifications and your consent to abide and be bound by the modified Privacy Policy.

If we make any material changes to this Privacy Policy, we may notify you either through the email address you have provided us, or by placing a prominent notice on our website. Your continued use of our website and the Service once you have been notified of the modified Privacy Policy constitutes your deemed acceptance and understanding of the Privacy Policy as in effect at the time of your continued use.
